Well, it’s been an unseasonably warm winter here in Austin, even for us. So this was the closest we got to snow over the holidays! There were flurries on our Indiana trip, but not much to speak of and the wind was biting cold, so Grandma brought out the snow she’d saved in the freezer for Kallie to play with on the kitchen floor!
Kinda the best of both worlds!
Wow! Saved snow is awesome; especially when it’s from Grandma! Looks like she’s having a lot of fun.
Don’t give up hope on Austin Winters yet. Last January we had a week of snow and ice. Nothing like Indiana, of course, but my son was able to sled (using his surfer body-board) down our front hill several times. Having just moved from Florida, it might as well have been the Alps from his point of view. I suppose it’s all relative.
