Well, sometimes one size fits all. Clearly a Tanner/Dakota sized bed fits Toby “just right!”
We’re all working in the garden this afternoon. Actually, I am the only one working. The dogs are all lying around, looking for lizards and enjoying the sun. And I am puttering and doing very little since real work is still kinda out of the question. (I tried to plant a 4″ pot and actually felt it in my abdominal muscles so I figured it’s still too soon to do that – don’t wanna undo any of the doctor’s work! But don’t tell anyone.)
So, I picked up dog poop, disentangled some invasive Cypress Vine from the strawberry shoots in the garden (which are growing like CRAZY) and watered a few things. Hey – it’s something…
But after 9 days of restricted garden activity, I am going nuts. The weather is perfect and I have soooooo much to do.
Instead, I picked some seeds to bring to our Austin Garden Bloggers little tour tomorrow. Then I can enjoy someone else’s garden and take it easy — I’m really looking forward to it.
I’ve been enjoying reading your blog posts…enjoyed the pics of the dogs especially. I’m lobbying for a puppy (see my blog) but so far unsuccessfully. With 58 acres, there’s lots of room, but she’d be right INSIDE with me (I think that’s the problem…grin). Anyway, enjoyed your blog and I’ll revisit. Thanks!
After 9 days and the spot of rain you had, I would be wanting to get outside now! You are being very patient…it’s a good thing the guest puppy is keeping you entertained! Plus you have been having a lot of fun blogging! Hang in there soon you will be really enjoying your autumn weather!

I’m glad you have the doggies to entertain you while you recuperate! I love it that the little guy has taken over the bed. Enjoy the weather!
Don’t over do in the garden. You don’t want to prolong your recovery time. Congrats on getting your sago palm seeds to sprout. I have a couple of palms I have to decide whether or not to bring them inside. They take up so much room. I wish they would survive outside. They won’t of course. I just love the way they look outside during summer though.
Dianne – thanks – the dogs are funny, aren’t they? They bring us such joy. I’ll go look at your blog. My husband draws the line @ 2 dogs for us! good luck with the pup.
Gail – I am going to try to find light work to do outside today. 59 now, 84 for the high. I think I can pull itty bitty weeds, water, maybe a spread a little granite! Our guest is going home today. I’m thinking about the old adage of “after 3 days, guests and laundry…”
Robin – I loved the weather this weekend. Could hardly be inside. How was CA?
Lisa – Too bad you have to bring your palms inside, but I don’t think they like snow! They are great focal points in the garden. Where do you keep them in the winter? In the garage or the house?
