It was a beautiful weekend celebrating Mother’s Day with my mom and my son. And, it was a sad weekend, thinking of people that weren’t with us, including my husband’s Mom who passed away a little more than 2 years ago.
She was like my second mother and I talk to her picture often and keep a tiny vase in front of her picture on the shelf. Yesterday I put together a bigger vase of blooms from my garden for her.
If you’d like to join in with your vase this Monday, you can link back Rambling in the Garden’s meme at https://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.com/
Can you ID all of these blooms?

A perfect vase to honor your Mother-in-law….I lost my MIL 13 years ago and it makes Mother’s Day hard….coupled with the fact that my mom is 3000 miles away.
That must be really hard. I feel so blessed to have my mom here.
I was pleased to see you pop up on IaVoM, Diana! How wonderful of you to honor your MIL on Mother’s Day. I miss my own MIL too.
Thanks again for hosting a tour of your garden! I’m sorry the horrendous downpour interfered but I could still see through the deluge how wonderful it is. Maybe you could post an on-line “tour” to show us what we missed? (Hint.)
Thanks, I plan to do that this week, Kris. It was disappointing but you can’t change the weather and I was glad most folks ventured out into the rain to see it albeit quickly.
It used to puzzle me hearing people talking of Mother’e Day in May before I realised it wasn’t the same in every country – in the UK it is celebrated 3 weeks before Easter so is either in March or early April. What a bright and cheerful little vase you have shared as a tribute to your mother in law
I didn’t realize that, either. I do know that Mother’s Day in Mexico is several days before ours. It’s good to have Mother’s Day, whenever it is. We deserve it!
