I wish I’ve planted variegated Dianella rather than the solid green variety I chose years ago. It really makes a statement.
I love them for shade – they are so perky and brighten things up. If we have a hard freeze in winter, which we only occasionally do, they will die back and take years to recover, so they are a bit of a risk, but I think it’s worth it!
